Built for three kinds of weather

Everything is tested in the places it's meant to be used, which is mostly why it takes us so long to release anything.

The Ridgeline Pack

38 litres, a frame that actually sits on your hips, and a lid pocket you can reach without taking it off.

The Understory Shell

Three-layer waterproof that breathes on the climb and packs down to roughly the size of a grapefruit.

The Tidewater Boot

Resoleable, salt-resistant, and broken in somewhere around day three rather than month three.

A workshop, not a warehouse

We started in 2009 with two sewing machines and a very optimistic lease. Everything still passes through the same building, and the people who designed your pack are the people who repair it.

Send anything back at any point in its life and we'll fix it. If we can't fix it, we'll tell you honestly and take it apart for parts.

What members say

Collected from post-trip surveys, lightly trimmed for length.

"Four seasons on the same pack, one zip replaced free, and it still looks better than the one I retired before it."

"I ordered the shell two days before a very wet week in the hills. It was the only piece of kit I didn't think about once."

Frequently asked

How long do repairs take?

Usually ten to fourteen days once it reaches the workshop. Zips and buckles are faster. If it's going to take longer than three weeks we'll email you before we start.

Do you ship outside the country?

Yes, to most of Europe and North America. Duties are calculated at checkout so there's nothing to pay on arrival.

What does "resoleable" actually mean?

The upper is stitched rather than glued to the midsole, so a cobbler can replace the sole without rebuilding the whole boot. Most people get two or three resoles out of a pair.

Can I cancel a membership mid-year?

Any time, and we'll refund the unused months. Repairs booked while you were a member stay free.
